Welcome to Island at the Edge. We are open and are working within all safety guidelines so you are able to visit our shop and be safe. We are situated in Edinbane on the shores of Loch Greshornish - Isle of Skye

What do we do?

We breed Hebridean & Black Cheviot sheep.

We produce top quality yarns with the fleece.

We design and produce traditionally hand-knitted Fisherman's Ganseys and the Crofters range.

We produce our own home grown & Skye woven Tattersall and Herringbone tweed.

We produce apparel and accessories with our own tweeds.

We deliver high quality teaching and learning in traditional skills including knitting, crochet and land-based courses suitable for crofters and those interested in crofting and smallholding.

This fabulous island is very inspirational and has been keeping us very busy with new designs hot off the needles.

The 'Workshop' is now open to the public - pop along where a warm welcome awaits, see we are doing and of course, meet the sheep...
